Fantastic hostel. Great shower/ stay after hiking in Kintail area. Just up road from Invergarry hotel which does great... food. Hostel has well equipped kitchen and dining area too but didn't want to cook after hiking. Stayed here last year too and really helpful owner. Great location for Munro's in the area and lower walks. Thank you.read more
Great place. Camped overnight on the grass out the front, got to use all the facilitys including a very nice shower and... good kitchen and lounge areas. The camping is close to the road but at night its the occasional car but it didn't keep me up. Highly recommended, and works well as a before or after Ben Nevis hike (though it is a short drive away from the carparks)read more
Great base to explore the Great Glen Way and the Highlands! Initially planned to stay only 2 nights, but ended up... staying 4. The place is really clean, the host is friendly and accommodating, and we generally felt really comfortable throughout our whole stay. They are also making a clear effort to ensure covid safety, which is great to see in a hostel. Would definitely come back!read more
GREAT STAY. Super lovely helpful host - he saved a wee swallow that had got trapped in a window & pointed us in the... direction of a great baggage shipping number, an inquisitive chicken, great eggs, loads of space, big kitchen, covid safe, clean. GREAT STAY for the great glen way.read more
Such a lovely spot for a little getaway! You have everything you need - comfy beds, cosy rooms, well equipped kitchen... and lounge to chill. And on top of that wonderful host! Clement is a lovely human being with great knowledge of surroundings, amazing conversations about anything and everything and willingness to help in any way he can (he even land me his daughter's bicycle!). Great place to stay. Very clean room. Hot, powerful showers. Very well stocked kitchen with plenty of space to cook (4... separate hobs + 1 oven + microwave). Great drying room across the courtyard. Very friendly staff.
One thing to be aware of. We booked it for a night as we were doing the great glen canoe trail and wanted a night off camping. Whilst it is 200m as the crow flies from the canal, you can't get off at that point (steep banks, thick overgrowth) so you have to paddle to a pontoon further down. It's then a 15-20 minute walk to the hostel, including a short stretch along a busy road. It was fine as we didn't have lots of stuff and decided to leave our canoe locked up on the pontoon rather than portage it to the hostel, but something to bear in mind if you're booking it for the same reason.
Man who checked me in wasnt to helpful, handed me keys and that was pretty much it. Had to figure out myself where... everything was. On the good side vicky was lovely and friendly. Place is good to stay if doing the great glen way. I would stay here again. And if you want to wash your clothes it's cheap.read more

convenient, after a long walk through Clunes and previously along loch lochy. The beds are ok basic realy but a... totally welcome rest especially if it rains on you for 6 hours along the trail. There is food and drink available for reasonable prices, but there was free bread and cereals and a chance to fill up water bladers or bottles for the walk ahead, all for £20 a head .read more
We stayed in the 'family' room for three nights at the end of October. The room had 1 x twin bunk and another bunk with... a double on the bottom and single on the top. There was an en-suite shower room and toilet as well. The room was nice and warm and we slept comfortably. The hostel itself was looked after by Erin during our visit and she was a real credit to the place. Super friendly, she couldn't have done any more for us. Always smiling and great fun to be around. There was a drying room with washing facilities and the kitchen was well catered. I don't think I can suggest any improvements.read more
