There's not much to see as its caged off and for very good reason it's a ruin, the only reason I was there was the... vessel marooned in the Loch which I used to work on many moons ago. Sad to see it go to waste 😪read more

Hmmm, well Scotland is ram packed with castles you can walk about in to get a sense of history. This is a crumbling... ruin behind a fence. I wouldn't intentionally go here unless you're staying in town and have some time to walk along the river. It's a 2 minute stop, at best.read more
Beautiful and imposing castle with a storied history and in a great location. Even the drive through the woodlands is... worth the visit. The castle itself is inaccessible for safety reasons but there is full access around it and as one of the walls has collapsed you can get a great view inside. It would of been a massive structure in it's heyday and there's still a lot left, a testament to the strength of the castle.read more
