Great trip with family. Was very windy when we went (during heat wave in July!) So make sure you take a coat even if... the weather is great on shore, as quite cold on the loch. Commentary was good and interesting. We went on the 2 hour cruise and this felt about the right length of time.read more

A great trip, the guide was very knowledgeable, spoke clearly and answered questions. Once we found the correct place... to board our choice of tour we enjoyed it. The website could be clearer about the locations and, since the Inverness site is no longer operating, maybe remove the brown direction signs & put a notice on the kiosk next to the boat! We went on the 2 hr trip from Dochgarroch loch, bought freshly made sandwiches from the café at the entrance to have lunch on the boat.read more

We booked in advance, and followed the signs from Inverness for the free parking. We were early, and there were few... people around. After a while, the crew turned up to prepare the ship (which is shown in my photograph), and then a coach load of German tourists. We boarded and set off. You pretty much do a one hour cruise out, turn to look at Urquhart Castle, and one hour cruise back. There is a cafe and toilets on board. There is a thorough commentary throughout, including stories of the famous monster, and we felt the £26 each we paid was excellent value. We saw a lot of Loch Ness in two hours.ABSOLUTELY recommend this tour to visitors to Inverness.read more

A very nice cruise with information about Loch Ness and lots of time to take photos. The staff is very friendly and... offers a lot of humour on the water. My only wish would be a bit more and different food to buy on the boat because - as others have already pointed out - even in summer and with good weather it can be a bit cold on the lake. As boatsmen and sailors all around the world know, a trip on the open water makes more people hungry rather than seasick.read more

Track and trace was good . Do think they were a bit too strict asking to keep on masks when seated not had this before... . They were very good as my husband is deaf and relies on lip reading . No issue with us not wearing masks to communicate . Very good history telling on tour . Boat was very comfortable and warm as it was heavy rain on our trip . The tour is beautiful . Staff were very friendly and helpful . There was 3 dogs on the boat all very well behaved . I do feel this is not an experience for dogs . It’s 2 hours on boat . Well bit reluctant but the service at the position where you order hot drinks wasn't great. Great boat trip! We chose the 3 hour trip including a visit to Urquhart castle. It was a pleasant cruise despite the... typical Scottish weather. :-) Excellent views and a knowledgeable guide. If you want to sit on deck you may well need a good coat but there is a reasonable amount of indoor seating. The staff at Urquhart insist on being in charge of embarking and disembarking at the castle despite their lack of training.
