Great boat cruise with a fantastic commentary, highlighting not only purely historical facts but also adding a lot of... humorous remarks making everybody smile. I regret to 8nform that on this occasion, Nessie was nowhere to be seen (again!) but this is only one more reason to come back in a slightly warmer months (my visit was end of October) and enjoy the beauty of all the lochs from the board of a fantastic boat cruise that Jacobite deliver. One not to miss when sightseeing around!read more

By far, the best loch cruise we rook in Scotland! I wish we could remember the gentleman’s name that hosted the cruise.... He was magnificent, and even had a book of names on him to look up family lineages. He took time to answer questions and was very knowledgeable.read more

A great trip, the guide was very knowledgeable, spoke clearly and answered questions. Once we found the correct place... to board our choice of tour we enjoyed it. The website could be clearer about the locations and, since the Inverness site is no longer operating, maybe remove the brown direction signs & put a notice on the kiosk next to the boat! Wonderful boat trip through Loch ness. We experienced every season in one go which was an added bonus as we got to see... the loch in the snow with moody sky's and then in beautiful sunshine as we reached the castle. The captain was great slowing the boat for the photo opp's and checking with the also lovely skipper to ensure safety when the weather changed. The guide was amazing too! Very knowledgeable and made the whole trip interesting and fun. I also loved that they were dog friendly. All in all this was a brilliant experience when visiting Inverness, great value for money and well worth adding to your todo list. We booked in advance, and followed the signs from Inverness for the free parking. We were early, and there were few... people around. After a while, the crew turned up to prepare the ship (which is shown in my photograph), and then a coach load of German tourists. We boarded and set off. You pretty much do a one hour cruise out, turn to look at Urquhart Castle, and one hour cruise back. There is a cafe and toilets on board. There is a thorough commentary throughout, including stories of the famous monster, and we felt the £26 each we paid was excellent value. We saw a lot of Loch Ness in two hours.ABSOLUTELY recommend this tour to visitors to Inverness.read more

A very nice cruise with information about Loch Ness and lots of time to take photos. The staff is very friendly and... offers a lot of humour on the water. My only wish would be a bit more and different food to buy on the boat because - as others have already pointed out - even in summer and with good weather it can be a bit cold on the lake. Great boat trip! We chose the 3 hour trip including a visit to Urquhart castle. It was a pleasant cruise despite the... typical Scottish weather. :-) Excellent views and a knowledgeable guide. If you want to sit on deck you may well need a good coat but there is a reasonable amount of indoor seating. The staff at Urquhart insist on being in charge of embarking and disembarking at the castle despite their lack of training.
