This review is long overdue, and apologize to the owners for the delay.
We visited in May 2019 on our way from Skye to... Inverness... we were looking for a place to lunch and happened upon this gem.
We had a mushroom soup that was to die for... i can only hope it was a Svampsoppa so I can try and make a faint copy of what we enjoyed that day... the owner also reminded my that Edinburgh is pronounced Edin-bro.

This is a wee hidden gem passed it many times when working but the four of us called in a day trip from Inverness to... Skye. It has a great outside sitting area with each table having it's own gazebo. The choice and value for breakfast was excellent and the staff were very friendly.
Definitely call in next time.

The Redburn cafe is a great place to stop for refreshments.
The owners are very welcoming and the coffee is great. The... main attraction, magnet, furry friend is Bain. A real laid back lovely Dog. The outdoor seating is fantastic and they also sell lots of little hand picked gifts.
Highly recommended!

Excellent cafe selling a variety of delicious home cooked meals from venison and haggis pies to lobster and chips as... well as various soups, sandwiches, salads and home bakes. Great location, very clean, dog friendly and also sells a good selection of crafty goods. Well worth popping by here for lunch if you are in the area. I had just spent the weekend kayaking the various rivers of Loch Ness when I discovered this place. It’s safe to say I’ll be back next time I’m kayaking on the Moriston!read more

And there are coos! Wonderful scenic spot in the world. Owners are friendly and very pleasant. All cafes should be like the Redburn. Five stars !

This was a wonderful discovery off the net. Small place with both indoor and outdoor seating. The food was superb! The... couple take great pride and put in so much effort in the preparation and presentation of the food.
A lot of the stuff that they use is grown in their own vegetable patch. Delicious and fresh.
We had limited stuff but the best of the lot was their chicken salad that was a visual delight and gourmet stuff. The roasted salmon soup was excellent. We thought the venison burger was OK but maybe we are not experts on that. The mushroom soup was also very good.
I strongly recommend this place. You must stop here for a lovely lunch.

We stopped off here after a forest walk, & had a great lunch. One of the best bowls of Cullen Skink soup I've had.
The... cafe had just been really busy but the owners still took time to chat & share advice about the local area, & generously recommended another restaurant for an evening meal.
We also had the pleasure of meeting their beautiful dog.
Nice selection of cards & crafts too
